Where should I stay?

It was the Bride and Groom's wedding vision to select a venue that could host all wedding events for their closest friends and family. Therefore, if you are able to join the couple on their special day, guests are required to stay on venue. There will be a link to book your stay when you go to RSVP.  Guests can RSVP by clicking on the button at the top of the page

When should I arrive in Florence?

We suggest our guests arrive in Florence, on Sunday the 9th, a day prior to the start of the four day wedding celebration. This will allow you time to see the city of Florence, stop in at the local leather market, and avoid stressful travel delays.

How much should I budget for my trip to Europe?

The amount of money you should bring with you to Europe depends on how long you plan to stay, what type of activities you intend to do, and your desired comfort level. Generally speaking, travelers can expect to spend about $300 per day for a budget-friendly trip in Europe. However, if you’re looking for a luxurious trip, you should consider saving more. To be on the safe side, you should bring enough money with you to cover all of your travel expenses and any unforeseen costs.

Is there anything I should know about traveling to Europe?

Coming Soon.

Where can I find the best exchange rate?

In terms of currency, it is best to use the local currency. You can find the best exchange rate at a Post Office, bank, or foreign exchange kiosk. Be sure to check the conversion rate before exchanging your currency. Airports usually have the worst exchange rate. Additionally, credit cards are widely accepted throughout Europe, so make sure to bring one with you.

Is Europe safe for travel?

Yes, Europe is generally a very safe place to travel, although it’s important to be aware of your surroundings. Carry only the essentials and keep your valuables secure. Keep an eye on your belongings when in crowded areas, and be aware of pickpockets. It’s also important to have a valid form of identification on you at all times. With common sense and some basic precautions, you can easily enjoy a safe and pleasant trip to Europe.

I’m planning on renting a car, what should I know about driving in Europe?

Driving in Europe can be quite different from driving in the United States. Here are some tips to keep in mind when driving in Europe:
Make sure you have the right documents and insurance coverage before you drive. You will need a valid driver’s license, an International Driving Permit (IDP), and proof of insurance.

  • Pay attention to speed limits. Roads are often winding and narrow, and speed limits can change quickly.

  • Many countries require drivers to use headlights during the day. Check your rental car’s instructions to make sure you know how to turn them on.

  • Make sure you know the laws for passing and turning in the country you are visiting.

  • Be aware of potential hazards, such as livestock on the road or slow-moving vehicles, that may not be common in the US.

  • Learn to read signs in the language of the country you are visiting.

  • Be prepared for tolls. Many countries require drivers to pay tolls on highways and bridges.

  • If you plan to cross borders, make sure you have the right permits and documents.

  • Most cars in Europe are stick shift.

  •

If you’re using maps on your phone, don’t use Apple Maps. Apple Maps does not work in Europe, you need to use google maps.

Will my phone work in Florence, Italy?

Most carriers can add an international plan for around $10 a day. We recommend having a phone plan for getting around. If you opt out, most places have WiFi, and you can use WhatsApp to text and call while connected to WiFi.
